The Silence of Our Friends, by Mark Long, Jim Demonankos & Nate Powell The Silence of Our Friends is an account of the civil rights movement in Houston during the late ’60s.  It focuses on the color line, those who cross it and those who choose not to.  This was a really good read, with beautiful illustrations from Nate Powell.  It just came out last week, so pick it up when you can.
